I can't believe I haven't done anything on here since spring! No deviations, no journals...I feel so inadequate.

I'm not sure why I haven't been doing any drawing lately. My best guess is that it's a combination of life being so busy and myself being uninspired. For whatever reason, I just don't have any desire to do anything. I've gotten started on a few drawings, but they don't turn out the way I envisioned, so I scrap them. Hopefully, though, I come out of this funk and start creating and uploading stuff.

In the meantime, I'm planning a Halloween costume that's based on one of my drawings. A few years ago, a drew this portrait with the markings and colors of a queen angelfish superimposed on her face: [link]

I always thought it would be fun to try and make-up my own face to look like the drawing with a funky costume to go with it. I'm pretty sure that I won't have to worry about anyone else wearing a costume like mine.

That would make a great costume. Perhaps just take it easy artwise, do fun stuff without pressure?

Aww...yep, I'm still here. I'll probably post some pictures of myself after Halloween. It'll give me a good excuse to finally upload something on here again...but hopefully it won't be that long before I post something. ;)

Yeah, I can't wait to put everything together and wear it. It's hard to concentrate on anything, art or otherwise, when I'm so stressed out. Well, not so much stressed out, but it would be more accurate to say that I'm worried about things. Anywho, I'll try to work on some fun stuff and start uploading again soon.

heh, no worries...i know just what you mean! i've been in a funk myself, for as long, or longer. but you know, just relax and let it play itself out. you are always an artist, no matter the ups and downs. you'll be back when you're ready^^ :hug:

You sound like me. I was going to cover my last journal with something like this but wasn't motivated enough hah! I say full steam ahead on the costume idea! It sounds pretty inspiring and I know the feeling of awesomeness when you know no one else has a costume like yours. S'why i made a My Little Pony one. I'll be waiting for pictures now

Oooh...a My Little Pony costume? Love that! Sounds very cute! I will definitely post some pics of my costume. Hopefully, before then, I'll get a drawing posted on here as well.

Ooo, a fishie costume sounds like so much fun--and very original :) I like the face paint alot!
As to your drawings, I wouldn't worry to much about that. Though you may get a little rusty, talent will never go away...don't sweat it! I find that doodling usually cures my artistic blocks ;)
